Window tinting
Rayno Phantom series S5 and Solar Gard VTX Pro are the leading carbon ceramic films, developed with a patented formula that exceeds competitor standards. Nano-scaled carbon particles give colour stability without sacrificing clarity, and nano-encapsulated ceramic particles give durability and heat rejection.
Which film suits your car
Both films give 99% UV protection, and both carry a lifetime warranty. The difference is heat. VTX Pro rejects 96% of infrared heat; the Rayno S5 rejects 53%.
S5 suits a car stored in a garage or carport and driven to and from work. VTX Pro is the better choice for a car that lives outside or covers long trips, because you feel noticeably less heat coming through the glass.

Legal tint shades in South Australia
35% is the darkest legal limit for the driver and front passenger windows. The rear passenger windows and rear windscreen can go to 20%, which is privacy glass.
Some vehicles arrive with the rear windows already darkened. That is a coloured dye with no UV or heat protection, so we still apply film to those windows, just in the clear shade.

In South Australia, front side windows must allow a minimum of 35% visible light transmission. Rear side windows and the rear windscreen may have a lower VLT. Ceramicar installs only legally compliant window film and can advise on the appropriate tint level for each window on your vehicle.
